Rob Curtain
Senior Media Trainer
Rob is a senior media and communications specialist with extensive experience in broadcasting, multi-media journalism and news management.
He is a former commercial radio News Director, news commentator and Corporate Communications Manager. Rob is a life member and former board member of the Melbourne Press Club, and Chair of the RMIT Journalism Program Industry Advisory Committee.
His strengths include media liaison, crisis management, leading and managing change, problem solving, communications strategies and engagement with stakeholders at the highest level.
Rob has strong professional relationships with news leaders and journalists across radio, print, digital and TV news and current affairs.
Rob teaches Journalism and Media Law and Ethics at Deakin University. He is a judge of the prestigious Quill Awards for excellence in journalism and is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators. Rob is on the board of a disability service provider in the not-for-profit sector.
